The OC preparation readiness tests give parents some idea if their kids are ready to prepare for the NSW Opportunity Class test (which should be taken in the middle of year 3 or early year 4). A score of at least 75% around the end of year 3 indicates that the students have the basics, can start OC preparation, and will have a chance in the OC test. Weaker scores suggest that the OC test will be just for experience and preparation for the later Selective School test in year 6.

The Selective test preparation readiness tests give parents some idea if their kids are ready to prepare for the NSW Selective School test (which should be taken at the beginning of year 5). A score of at least 75% around the end of year 5 indicates that the students have the basics, can start Selective School test preparation, and will have a chance in the NSW Selective School test (or scholarship tests).

To do a test, fill in the requested information on the left side of the screen, then select a test by its radio button, and then click on the button [next].

Students can join Mathemafix for a free account with a decent number of tests and resources to know their level of performance, which will help them prepare for the OC and Selective tests. These accounts can be easily upgraded to join the OC support group or the Selective School support group to access all the necessary resources for test preparation.
